Nash Bellows - Room 304
The structure of my work is centered around the pursuit to establish reason and control within abstraction; they search to find a balance between disorder and chaos. My process-based paintings are formed by set parameters and various instructions I have created for myself.
Many of my pieces have utilize collage and found imagery, but my most current process begins with merging my digital drawings together to create a puzzle-like composition. There are areas of flow and balance, but there are also areas of interruption and disconnect where I mimic various digital pre-set brush textures and utilize the formal language of painting.
